There are some key personnel within the department with designated positions to ensure its smooth running. They include the following staff:
- Head of Department: Dr. E.I Itanyi
- PG Rep.: Dr. A.M Ibeanu
- Exam Officer: Mr. E.A Nwankwo
- Time-Table Officer: Mrs. C.C Oguamanam
Other important officers in the department include: Academic adviser for all the different levels, typists and messengers, staff adviser for Archaeology and Tourism Students Association (ATSA) Department Board, PG Board, Tenders Board etc.
